Million Step Challenge

InnovaSystems hosts an annual Million Step Challenge event where employees are invited to participate in a fitness challenge to reach one million steps within 111 days. Complimentary fitness devices are provided to employees to help track their steps and overall progress. 


In addition to being a fitness event, the challenge also serves as a fundraiser for local military and veteran families. 100% of all proceeds go to support two great non-profit organizations – the Operation Rebound program of the Challenged Athletes Foundation as well as the Support the Enlisted Project (STEP). Every year, InnovaSystems pledges to match donations up to $100 per participant. 

Operation Rebound

Operation Rebound is a program that serves strengthens the mental and physical well-being of veterans, military personnel and first responders with permanent physical injuries by providing them opportunities to use sports and fitness to re-integrate into our communities and by empowering them through sports. 

Throughout the years, we’ve had the honor of welcoming NBA Hall-of-Famer Bill Walton to our San Diego headquarters several times as he is an ambassador of the Challenged Athletes Foundation.  


Support the Enlisted Project is a non-profit organization that helps active duty and recently discharged veteran families by providing emergency grants, financial counseling and other support to create financial sufficiency. 

In 2021, InnovaSystems was recognized in STEP’s Honor Roll of Leadership for continued support over the years. We are honored to make the list! 

Adopt-A-Family Program for the Holidays

Every holiday season, the InnovaSystems family has “adopted” families in need through the Salvation Army’s Adopt-A-Family Program in San Diego County. This program is designed to assist families who are in crisis due to unemployment, homelessness, medical issues, or other difficult circumstances and who otherwise would not have the resources to celebrate the holidays. 

Wish lists are collected from each family and using donations raised, employees team up and shop to purchase gifts for the entire family. The families adopted are provided with grocery store gift cards, clothing, shoes/accessories, household essentials, etc.  

FoodBank of SouthEastern Virginia

Along with the adopting families for the holiday season, the InnovaSystems family also raises donations for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia. To date, we’ve been able to provide over 7,000 of well-balanced meals to the community.
