InnovaSystems International is at the forefront of the latest technology through its development of applications that are based on a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). One IBM whitepaper defines a Service Oriented Architecture as “an application architecture within which all functions are defined as independent services with well-defined invokable interfaces which can be called in defined sequences to form business processes”. We are leveraging this concept in the applications we are currently developing under the US Navy’s Innovative Readiness Reporting Initiative (IRRI). By employing designs centered around web service technologies such as XML, SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI, our IRRI compliant applications are providing a significant update to military messaging systems and allowing for new levels of systems integration across the U.S. Department of Defense.
